Job? Job? Jobs?!

Jobs are one thing in your life that you will constantly do even after school till maybe even death depending on whether or not you retire. So if your gonna do something for that long might as well enjoy what your doing right? Other wise you will always just be miserable all the time. My Mother is a nurse at the hospital and gets pretty good pay on top of that she loves her job, shes been doing it for about two decades now. That was what she wanted to do and she took the necessary steps to accomplish her goal, didn't matter how hard she worked or how long it took her. She did it and now she makes a great living doing what she loves and nothing can be better than that.

What do I want to be? I'm still not sure but at the moment I see my self possibly being a LPN (Licenced Practical Nurse) and a Bartender. I'd really love to do something athletic for a living like a professional athlete, my sport is soccer so it would have amazing pay not only that I cant get enough of it. How ever the future turns out for me career wise im sure it will turn out good.
Aslong as I dont give up and go after what I want relentlessly, no matter how hard...or how long it takes to get it.

Review: Turok

Turok is a thrilling first person shooter that makes the fantasy of roaming in a dinosaur populated land come alive. Killing soldiers to Raptors to Tyrannosauruses Rex's the fun never ends. With a variety of instruments to utilize in order to dispose of your enemies adds to the game's fun. Killing dinosaurs with the knife is one of the coolest parts of the game, stabbing Raptors in the head and slicing throats is one of the most unique aspects. The storyline on the other hand is some what lacking to a certain degree but remains strong throughout majority of the game. Turok is a soldier of Native-American Heritage who once was apart of an elite group of ex-soldiers who were trained to be killing machines, this group is known as Wolf-PAC. Turok embarks on a journey of vengeance with plenty of blood shed on the way.The online play was very well done, interaction with other players is just as good as story mode in the sense of killing. Although the game has nothing left once story mode is completed besides online play and not being able to go back and choose what level you want to play takes away from the game and leaves much to be desired. The graphics and sound effects used are outstanding in the sense of realism and tremendously add to the Turok experience.
Controls are a bit awkward at first for those who are not accustomed to first person shooters but for those who are, picking it up shouldn't be a problem at all. So in concolusion Turok is definatley a good buy that will keep you on the edge of your seat and for the most part stays enjoyable and will provide a positive gaming experience. Highly Recommeneded.

Meow......

The white harmless fluffiness cunningly deceiving those who gaze upon it. Seemingly as peaceful and clean as a cloud in the blue sky.....eyes that cause even the most burliest of individuals to speaking in the gentlest of voice. Ears flopped down, limp like an animal's prey being carried around in it's mouth almost as lifeless. Waking up at the crack of dawn smelling the dew in the mid-winter air, pink rose like nose twitching as it picks up the sweet aroma, kinder to the senses than any scent. whiskers long enough to see yet not notice. Paws softer than the sweet whisper of an "I love you" into a lonely ear , footsteps quiet as a deadly silence. Labelled in a positive way as to which the least is expected, the cutest of actions and most innocent of intentions. In the mind there is a mentality of morbidness and negativity calling out. A corrupt subconscious suggesting the most evil of demands. Slowly a need for sin is growing, a dark reality is setting in. A mental state of psychosis and insanity driving the mind into a darkness within it's self. Voices ringing repetitively, consecutively and in succession...increasingly getting louder and convincing . A diabolical cerebral bomb going off creating a sadistic conclusion.

Journal

In The Three Day Road Two Brothers And an Aunt Go on a journey through the Great War.
"Dreams of this bear-man waking from his death slumber , bending up to untie his feet and then jumping to the floor, eyes bulging from his fleshy skull, pacing two legs between the bodies of my sleeping family, sinew of of white muscle glistening from the moonlight as he searched for his fur" (pg.38). This quote represents the human imagination when it succumbs to paranoia which lays in the human psyche. Everyone gets paranoid, its a normal occurance and it happens at different levels in different situations for different reasons. Sometimes it comes from a past experience when reminded of it and other times its sibliminal from a hidden fear. In situations of war and famine paranoia is more prominent than under circumstances like living in a civilized modern day city in Canada.

School (free write with substitute, re-done)

School. A lot of kids love it, a lot of kids like it, and a lot of kids don't. One of the biggest things in person's life is when they went through education. The years they spent from kindergarten to grade 12, the time of graduation. This year is my graduation which im totally stoked for considering it will be one of the most amazing moments in my entire life and one of the most memorable. It really has been a hell of a ride over the years, especially in high school. You go through things you love, you hate and things you wont ever forget. That especially applies for the people you meet, some you will drift away from. Mean while others you will know till the very end, you never know. All I know for sure though is that this year.....Is my year.

The Un-calculated Risk Of Not Caring

The Un-calculated Risk Of Not Caring

Many of the events in the story "The Lottery" relate to the certain significant events in the history of mankind. The stoning of Mrs.Hutchinson is much like the St.Louis back in world war two that got turned down by the U.S , the ship was carrying thousands of Jews all trying to escape the Holocaust. No one tried to save Mrs. Hutchinson much like how no one made an effort to save the St.Louis' passengers. The Second world war could have been prevented and millions of lives saved if only humanity cared sooner. Mankind is sad enough that it does not learn from the mistakes of the past, in the 1990's there was the Rwandan genocide, not just internationally people did not care but also in civil situations. Now humanity has learned to care but not enough, efforts are made but aren't given 100%. Even today indifference exists, in places like Darfur.

Elie Wiesel's speech pertains to "The Lottery" in a way which he warns human beings to care yet no one seems to, much like how in "the lottery" subtle warnings are given yet no one heeds them. People that seem "normal" and just plain ordinary incapable of horrific acts deep down tend to be blood thirsty and heartless when it comes to survival of one's self then that dark malicious evil side of the human psyche comes out.
